Description
Publisher's Description of Marder III Ausf.M (SD.KFZ. 138) - 367 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)

The Marder III tank destroyer fought on many fronts of World War II. Until the introduction of the 88mm guns, it was a very dangerous anti-tank weapon. Design of the Sd.Kfz. 138 Marder III Ausf. M was based on the chassis of the Panzer 38(t) Ausf. M with the engine placed in the middle of the vehicle. The armament was a German 75mm cannon with a supply of 27 rounds. The vehicle did not have a permanently installed machine gun. The MG 34 or MG 42 rifle was carried in the crew compartment as optional personal armament. The "M" version, like other Marder variants, did not have armor covering the crew compartment from above. Instead, there was a closure of the rear part of the crew compartment. In the years 1943-1944, about 975 units of this Marder III variant were produced. The full name of the vehicle was Sd.Kfz.138, Panzerjäger 38(t) mit 7.5cm PaK40/3 Ausf. M.

MARDER III Ausf. M was developed in a 1:35 scale to match the figures and consists of 367 building blocks. The use of the latest elements from the COBI catalog allowed faithful reproduction of the characteristic shapes of the original vehicle. The model's functionalities include working caterpillar traction, rotating wheels, a place for a figure in the fighting compartment, a movable cannon and a machine gun mounted on a rail. All graphic elements are high-quality prints. The figure shows a German tank destroyer commander in a characteristic uniform. The set comes with a plate with the name of the set printed on it. Our Historical Collection in 1:35 scale isn’t complete without this set! Build history, piece by piece, with COBI!
