Category Description for Do-A-Dot Markers:

Kids love to paint, but you might not always have the time to pour paint into cups, put down newspaper, and supervise. With Do-A-Dot Paint Markers, no worries! These durable, long-lasting paint daubers feature a round sponge tip and are filled with vibrant, washable paint, so kids can paint without making (too much of) a mess! To paint, they just invert the bottle and squeeze, press the tip to the paper, and they can dot, draw, dab, whatever! There's plenty of paint packed into each marker, and the high-quality sponge tips wont dry out or get caked with paint. Worried the kids will run out of uses for daubers? Not a problem - Do-A-Dot has created its own line of activity books that are perfect to use with daubers. The large, thick, black-line drawings are rounded, and incorporate plenty of dots and circles for coloring too! Made in the USA.

Do A Dot Markers are one of my four year old's favorite activities He received his first set when he was three After some simple instructions on how to dot up and down (not color back and forth) he was completely independent This is a great activity for him to do while I cook dinner Unlike painting set up and clean up are simple- twist the cap and you are ready to go -no pouring paint wiping spills or cleaning brushes Plus all the markers are washable so even if it gets on his clothes everything comes clean in the wash I love the fact that he is learning while having fun He enjoys combining colors to produce new colors (red and blue=purple) My biggest surprise was the fine motor improvement I have witnessed By using these markers with the Do A Dot activity books (especially designed for the markers) I've seen great improvement in the past six months of his ability to stay within the linesDo A Dots are also a wonderful activity for multiple children since using them is so simple to master I even used these in a Vacation Bible School class with toddlers (with adult supervision) and they loved them! While the activity books are definitely a plus you can use the markers in other ways We use heavy drawing paper to make pictures practice writing my son's name or trace letters or numbersWe have had our initial set for about six months with frequent use and they show no signs of needing to be replaced We have ended up buying other colors to expand his art options but I definitely think the rainbow set is the best place to start since you get the primary colors If you are looking for a great birthday gift we have always received great feedback when we've given the markers and an activity book as gifts for the preschool crowd
