To compliment new place value cards to give my younger math learners another way to reinforce new concepts.

I have found it helpful for children to have a chart to write a number on when they are learning about place value. Many of my fifth graders do not have the required background with place value and so a chart is necessary for any work.

Seems like an economical and efficient manipulative to use as an alternate option of buying every manipulative related to place value. Seems practical to use along with disks if you can't afford every type of place value manipulative, especially if on a budget and space-saving is a concern for homeschooling more than one child.
