Product Description:

This is a fun little starter set for older students who are interested in rocks and gemstones. The specimens measure ¼" to ½" and are set in a divided plastic tray (about 4 ½" x 5"). Each set offers a different variety of gemstones and names and pictures of some of them (not all of them) are found on the back of the box. Children can have fun researching and finding the names, taking them out of the tray and playing a game of trying to name them, or matching them to the pictures on the box.

Publisher Description:

Our Gemstone Collection Box is a great introduction to the mineral kingdom at a great value! This beautiful collection of polished gemstones is a must for the beginner crystal collector. Twenty natural, polished crystals may be viewed and stored right in the box.

If I buy 2 sets will they be different rocks?
Nancy S on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have bought three different boxes. Each have had some of the same rocks and some different rocks. For the price, they can't be beat.
What Stones crystals are in the set or minerals whenever??
A shopper on Sep 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Per the publisher: “We don’t have an exact formula of what is in the Gemstone Collection Box but there are pictures of the rocks that could possibly be in it on the back. Those include: Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Carnelian, Hematite, Amazonite, Howlite, Red Jasper, Sodalite, Turqurenite, Quartz, Tiger Eye, Orange Calcite, Rhodonite, Unakite, Lemon Jade, Brecciated Jasper, Snowflake Obsidian, Picture Jasper, Blue Dalmatian Jasper, and Serpentine.
Is this set always the same; having the same gemstones in each kit? Is it possible to get one with the 7 colors of the rainbow and also black, white, and pink? Thanks for answering.

BEST ANSWER: We get these as is from the supplier. The collections are put together at their discretion and it's not possible to make any changes. If you can find a rock shop (often found in tourist areas), you should be able to put together your own collection with the color spectrum you desire.
