These English Grammar Recitation Digital Flashcards from Memoria Press are built on memorizing and drilling grammar rules. This set of cards provides all the rules from all five English Grammar Recitation workbooks in one place. There are rules for capitalization (10), punctuation (15), and 150 grammar facts. The front of each card gives the recitation task and the back of the card lists the rule(s) which are the correct response to the task. Another type of card lists an example on one side with the rule on the reverse side. These cards supplement the daily drill, which is the chief characteristic of this approach to grammar. 214 digital flashcards.

Category Description for English Grammar Recitation

Aligned to Memoria Press’s Latin programs, English Grammar Recitation focuses on mastery of the English grammar rules, through drills, dictation exercises, and brief workbook exercises. Some diagramming is included. While coordinated to Memoria Press Latin, this program may be used with any Latin program or for standalone, catechism-based instruction. Previously learned grammar rules are reviewed at each level. The required Handbook is a comprehensive list of 150 grammar rules used in the program. The course is divided into five levels (books). Along with the Handbook, each level requires a consumable Student Book and corresponding Teacher Guide, which includes teaching helps, a suggested lesson plan, and answers to the student pages. Books sold separately or in a package which includes the Handbook, and the Student and Teacher Book.

Book I aligns with Latina Christiana and focuses on mastery of 31 grammar rules, 10 capitalization rules, and 15 punctuation rules.

Book II aligns with First Form Latin, covering 36 additional grammar rules while expanding upon the capitalization and punctuation taught in Book I.

Book III aligns to Second Form Latin and covers 37 additional grammar rules and expands on the capitalization and punctuation rules from Books I and II.

Book IV aligns to Third Form Latin and covers 30 additional grammar rules and provides a thorough review of the rules from Workbooks I to III.

Book V aligns to Fourth Form Latin covers 34 grammar rules focusing on clauses, specifically the three types of subordinate clauses. Includes a thorough review of the rules from Workbooks I to IV.

Book 1 Lesson Plans are available in one- and two-year pacing schedules. Formatted similarly, both offer a grid check off box for 33 weeks. The one-year pacing schedules grammar lessons daily and the two-year pacing schedules grammar 3 days per week. Spiral bound.

Book II Lesson Plans are available in a one-year pacing schedule.

Optional flashcards include all the rules in the Reference book for easy-to-use practice drills.
