Description

When Rabbit finds an egg in a hole underground, he can only assume that one of Hen's eggs were stolen. So, to save the day for Hen, he rolls the egg all the way out of the hole. After that egg hatches, it is clear to see that it was in no way an egg of Hen's. The young animal has a bill and feet like a duck, fur and tail like a beaver, and is skittish like a squirrel. What kind of animal is this, and who does he belong to? Nobody around can figure it out. After everyone finds their place to sleep for the night, the young animal leaves in search of his own home. Although he doesn't find his parents, he is pleasantly surprised and thankful that he finds a home that he can belong to and live at peace.
