I’ve used the World Literature books and my son enjoyed them and thrived. I saw improvement in his writing, analysis, and enjoyment of this subject.

BEST ANSWER: We never actually used this, but I've looked through it and it looks really good. You need to be aware, though, that it has a very extensive reading list that they expect the student to have read through prior to starting the actual course. They suggest reading all the books the previous summer, but your student must be a very avid reader to make it through this list in one summer. A lot of literature books include excerpts from the books in the text. This one includes additional resources, but not the relevant segments from the books on the list. The student is expected to read these in their entirety ahead of time.
