Description

Travel around the board from Rivendell, all the way to Mount of Doom while keeping the ring protected from oncoming threats and battles. Roll the dice to determine which characters progress, how many spaces they may move, and which situations or characters (good or bad), they may encounter. The group of fellowship figures includes Frodo and Sam (as the ring bearers), Merry and Pippin, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. The goal is to make it to Mount Doom before all courage is lost or all Nazgûl figures are on the board; otherwise, all players will lose the game. If the Ring-bearer reaches Mount Doom, all players win. Throughout the journey, there will be many obstacles and adversaries to face. Do you have the courage it takes to deliver the ring? Although this cooperative strategy game may be a bit complicated to set up and grasp at first, Thames & Kosmos provides a free Helper App that will guide players through gameplay, step-by-step. Also included is a QR code linked to a tutorial walk-through. You won’t even need to read the rules first! This is a somewhat entry-level strategy board game, and a prefect option for fans of the book or live-action Trilogy. The exciting game board features many of the iconic locations and landmarks from the Lord of the Rings series. The instruction manual includes easier and harder versions of the game for variation. For 1-4 players, with 50 minutes of playtime.

Total contents include: 42 encounter cards, 5 Gandalf cards, 1 Boromir card, 2 Overview cards, 5 Fellowship figures, 9 Nazgûl figures, 6 Uruk-hai figures, 20 figure stands, 1 Gameboard, 2 Marker tokens, 1 The One Ring, 1 Dice board, and 8 Dice. ~ Brianna
