Description

I wish someone would have handed me this book years ago! Taking the complexities of geometry and explaining them in a no-nonsense, straightforward manner, this book helps students succeed. Beginning with definitions of terms, postulates and theorems, the following chapters cover angles, parallel and perpendicular lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, perimeter, area and volume, graphing and constructions. Chapters are formatted similarly, with concise, engaging content, clear illustrations and examples, tips for success, common mistakes to avoid, and Brain Tickler quizzes. Answers are included, after the Brain Tickler. Also includes a glossary with helpful definitions. Content is easy to follow and includes ample white space, bold text for important considerations and shaded boxes. If you are familiar with the previous edition, the content is largely unchanged, although the formatting is different. All text is black/gray, and the font is slightly smaller than the previous editions. An excellent way to prepare for high school geometry, ACT/SAT tests or to grab as a quick reference to provide an additional explanation of a troubling concept from the textbook. ~Deanne
