Description

Children love animals! Master Books offers a biblical homeschool curriculum for grades 1-2 that can also be used by early learners or for remedial practice for older learners. Here is a writing program that centers around God’s creations and teaches letters, words, short sentences, numbers, and simple punctuation. A 5-day per week schedule for 180 days (36 weekly lessons) takes approximately 20-30 minutes each day to complete. An open-and-go scope and sequence includes a convenient daily schedule and supply list for the hand-strengthening exercises.

Most lessons include a series of Read, Warm Up, Get Ready to Write, Find, and Practice. The fun hands-on activities help to strengthen the student’s hands – teaching tracing, letter identification, hand strength, focused activity skills, and challenges. Lessons 32-26 present super skills sections where students will apply their handwriting skills to write Scripture. Scripture quotations are taken from the New Living Translation. Additional practice sections include pre-assessments, post-assessments, optional review assessments (starting at day 30), handwriting rubric to grade review assessments, activities rubric, additional activity tear-out pages, and answer keys.

Permission to make copies is limited to the immediate family members in the household. Additional blank lines practice pages can be copied from the publisher’s website. Sc., consumable, 455 perforated pages that are also three-hole punched.
