Love this clock.
I have 5-yr-old, 4-yr-old and 3-yr-old grandchildren to raise. The 5-yr-old is totally fascinated with telling time. The Judy Clock is amazing. Even my 3-yr-old understands the concept of the hour and minute hands, even if the rest is a mystery to her. All three love to move the hands around. The older two are beginning to tell time without my teaching them all the smaller details. It is sturdy and easy to use. The book that came with it is easy to use and very understandable. I will go back and order three small clocks to use with this, though. I think they need to hold one in their hands as we I show them the bigger one. Love it. Highly recommend it.

As low tech as they come but my kids love it! The friendly face of this HUGE Judy clock has been one of the constant features of our homeschool days for over a year now The main body of the clock is actually a large flat piece of sturdy particle board with the plastic gear mechanism peeking out through the "eyes" The gears are a pleasant bonus which we don't always use; I appreciate also being able to turn the hands independently if we want to get to another position faster In terms of educational value I actually believe the size and heft of this clock make the lessons far more concrete than they might be with a smaller or plainer clock The Judy clock is strong enough for my 3-year-old to play with it often My only concern is with the metal feet which are included to keep the particleboard body upright I knew right away they'd get lost immediately so I taped a snack-wize baggie tightly on the back and use that to store the feet when the clock is not in use Apart from that I really enjoy this clock What can I say? It makes our homeschool feel "official" to have Judy smiling down on us!

I love this clock! Children can see the gears moving the hour hand as the minute hand is manually moved It would have been so much harder to teach hour hand positioning throughout an individual hour without a clock like this

My children range from 3 to 5. They drive me crazy with questions about time; so I decided they should learn for themselves. This clock seems to be standard for teaching time.

My grandson is having difficulties telling time. He needs a clock with gears to better understand. This site had the cheapest price.

I had a Judy Clock for years to help teach my kids to tell time. The arms broke off during a recent "purge" of our homeschool supplies. Can't get by without my Judy Clock!

I really like this clock. It is sturdy and has gears which make the minute hand move in sync with the hour hand as a "real" clock. The children can't hurt it by turning it counterclockwise. It doesn't strip the gears. Also the children learn well with such a large clock.

How big is it?

BEST ANSWER: It's about 13" across the bottom and about 13" from bottom to top. I love it. My kids are fascinated by it. And I think it's an awesome way to teach time.
