This has just the right amount of spacing for my kids handwriting. Not too small and enough lines for a good days practice.

A quick and easy brush up to add to your curriculum. My homeschool students feel accomplished when they finish it in a timely manner, and without any hassle. Reaffirms the standards they need to follow.

Donnyell F on Oct 4, 2016
It came recommended to me by a homeschool mom with a masters in teaching. I am already using Easy Grammar at her recommendation, and we love it. Two of my kids are doing great on Easy Grammar alone, while two need extra practice. That is where Daily Grams comes in.
Kristin K on Sep 21, 2016

My kids enjoy working on these quick daily refreshers. We do learn or re-learn key grammatical terms/concepts as we progress through the year. Last year (and planning on this year) the kids work on these individually and then together we work on IEW Fix-It Grammar... which is also short, but good for us to do together.

I wanted to give just a 'refresher' of grammar daily for my dd before she tackles her writing for the day. I figure daily practice with it would be like doing a quick math problem or two that would help her focus before jumping into the subject at hand. Much like she will practice scales before jumping into songs with her violin, practicing simple parts of grammar will help her get into a writing mindset.
Kira R on May 12, 2016

Paula L on Mar 2, 2016
My self-motivated daughter needs a little more work on grammer and punctuation. I have used this series in the past with wonderful results. Just the right amount of daily practice and teachable moments with grammer. Sentence combining is appreciated, too.

I've heard of Daily Grams for years by plenty of veteran homeschool moms, and I haven't used it before now because we were using Easy Grammar, and it seemed like overkill of the same type of content and style presented. However, we have switched to Fix-It Grammar by IEW, so Daily Grams seem to be a nice supplement. Plus, the format of Daily Grams is so easy and consistent, it's a perfect independent assignment.

BEST ANSWER: No, you do not NEED, both, but they are designed to complement each other. The Daily Grams are ongoing review of principles the student has learned. Easy Grammar teaches new material, and review some, in a topic-based format. There is a group of lessons on verbs, then nouns, then clauses, for example. If you want ongoing review of capitalization rules, subject-verb agreement, etc., you will want the Daily Grams.
How is this different from Daily Grams grade 5 student workbook that is about $10?
User on Oct 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The workbook doesn't come with answers and is not reproducible. I have multiple kids that are or will be using the book, so I get the more expensive one that comes with answer pages and that is reproducible and put each page in a plastic sleeve in a three ring binder. The kids can use a dry erase marker, then check their work and erase it. Makes it easy to reuse.
My daughter is finishing Easy Grammar Grades 3 and 4 this spring. Would she need Daily Grams 4 or 5 for next year? She will be in 5th Grade.
User on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If she's going to be finishing up easy grammar 4 this year, I would get daily grams 5. Easy grammar and daily grams are complementary so there should be no need to "redo" what she's already learned. Daily gram 5 will build on what she learned in easy grammar 4.

BEST ANSWER: After My son finished Easy Grammar 3 and 4 last year we decided to change and do Grade 5 Daily Grams this year. It worked great for us as there is so much repetition. We liked that he was practicing all the concepts every day. Next year we will do Easy Grammar 6 and then the following year Daily Grams Grade 7. Every Other year seems to work for my kids so they get the new concepts followed by some repetition. Only once or twice did my 7th grader have to look something up on the internet to do his Daily Grams. This has worked for both of my children. Hope this helps.
Is this the teacher text?
A shopper on Mar 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is a teacher text only in that answers are given in the back of the book. There are no lesson plans given. It is meant to be used independently by the student to keep them sharp on rules of grammar, punctuation and sentence formation.
