Love this curriculum
I absolutely love Mystery of History we have used it for 2 years now and will use it for the next 2 as well. It has a great mixture of activities to go along with the lessons, they have different levels to meet every grade leveland it is Christian yeslt still strong on historical content.

Linear and Christ-centered. Our entire family loves the Mystery of History series and would highly recommend it to both homeschooling families and general lovers of history lovers alike. It will be a great addition to your library!

Great History curriculum
I highly recommend the Mystery of History series. I used the first volume for my daughter's 7th grade history and we are currently using the 2nd one for her 8th grade history. I like how it comes from a strongly Christian point of view.

Not as good in accuracy as the first
Starting to feel the bias against the Catholic church, or just ignorance here.

Good product but wrong grade range for my children
This product will work better with students in older grades than mine are. Would work best with middle school through high school

I love this program! Very adaptable for use at home only, or in my case to teach junior high history in a co-op situation. We are using Volume 1 this year and I am very excited to cover Volume 2 next year. I prefer this program to all others because of the seamless way it covers ALL history, rather than separating out biblical narratives. It gives the student a truer picture of how time and the story of humankind has unfolded.

We did MOH Vol. 1 for 3rd grade last year and look forward to continuing with Vol 2! So interesting and love how it combines world history with Bible.
Emily M on Jul 10, 2017
My children, 3rd and 7th grade, are doing World History this year. I wanted a chronological history that told the history of the world, while including which Biblical events were going on. I have always wanted to learn what was going on all over the world at the same time, as opposed to what was going on in one place over all of time.
Heather on Jul 5, 2017
Heard good things of Mystery of History. This will be our first year incorporating MOH in our studies.

MOH works for many ages and helps us get a feel for the flow of history better than SOTW. I like her writing style, written directly to the student.
Dawn N on Aug 30, 2016
The Mystery of History series is comprehensive with a comfortable flow of information that is thoroughly planned. Easy to use.

Is there a Bible curriculum you can recommend to go alongside this, so we can go more in depth?
Beth E on Jul 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: What a great question! I don't know what ages you're teaching but this time period is rich with church history so I would think a Bible study on the core beliefs of the gospel would be awesome. You could use a gospel primer or maybe something like the navigators tools for discipling others. Maybe focus on a specific concept each few weeks with a verse to memorize each week. So many ideas, make it fun.
Is this a hardcover textbook or does it have 3 ring holes to add to a binder?
User on Jul 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is a large paperback book. It is not three-hole punched; however, it would be possible to remove the cover, separate the pages and hole punch them. I would recommend either using a large three hole punch that holds several pages at a time, or taking it to a print shop or FedEx office location to have it punched.
Is this Volume 2 like a hardcover textbook or does it have three ring holes to place in a binder?
A shopper on Jul 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Volume 2 is a softcover textbook. However, it does have three ring holes and perforated pages if you choose to put it in a binder or you can cut off the outer binding and have it spiral bound.
is this the text book or the companion guide? the image is of the table of contents of what looks like the companion guide w activities.
A shopper on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would say Volume II is all of the above. The book includes the text, with worksheets, activities, pretests, quizzes, and answer key. We also have Volume III, which is only the text. Weird.
Are the pages perforated?
A shopper on Jul 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the pages are perforated. They are also punched so that you can just take the pages out and put them into a three-ring binder.
