This game is fun and very easy to learn The concept is simple: Everyone gets 4 cards Turn up one card from the deck and then taking turns play one of your cards in chronological order with respect to the rest of the cards Did Woodrow Wilson become president before or after the start of WWI? Before or after the invention of the lightbulb? Insert your card between the others where you think it belongs If you're right you are down one card If you're wrong you have to draw another First one out of cards wins!My 12 yo and 16 love this game and can easily play it My 12 yo uses visual clues from the cards to try to help him place his cards if he doesn't know the event My 3rd grader can sort of play He has less experience with historical events My competitive 14 yo doesn't like to lose so doesn't play In any case there are enough obscure cards to keep my husband and I challenged against the kids We draw 6 cards to begin against their 4 to make it fairCons to the game: The cards are extremely tiny! It's fine now that we're used to it but it was a shock to open the game box There are several errors in the American History set: the Klondike Gold Rush is dated at 1848 (really 1898ish) and Gerald Ford's card says "First elected President in 1972 " when a) he was never elected anything and b) he became President in 1974 Thirdly the woman on the cover of the box shares too much cleavage in my opinion The outfit on this box is not so revealing as the one on the Historical Events edition - But stillA non-complaint: In reviews on other sites people complained that after several times through the game it was too easy because you had memorized all the cards (there are 100) My rebuttal would be: Isn't that the point?? Especially if you are playing with children I use it as an educational gameOverall I would buy more sets The concept is good with a few minor glitches

My daughter loves her other two sets of this game, and has many of the dates memorized. We're expanding her set, since she loves US History.

has there been a new release with the errors corrected? and if so is this it?
(e.g. Mayflower, Klondike Gold Rush, Theodore Roosevelt elected, Gerald Ford elected)

BEST ANSWER: I checked the cards you mentioned above. The Mayflower Historic Trip date is 1620; The Klondike Gold Rush date is 1896; The election of Theodore Roosevelt is 1901 and the election of Gerald Ford is 1974.
