ArtK12 Draw the Human Body: Organs (no reproductive organs)
PLEASE NOTE: This edition DOES NOT include the reproductive organs. We have another edition that does.
In Draw the Human Body: Organs (no reproductive organs) your students will create 13 drawings to learn the major organs of the human body and add nearly 200 labels. In addition to these serious, detailed drawings they’ll learn general information about each organ and have a lot of fun in the process: posters, cartoons, a mini-comic book and more, designed to make your students laugh (or groan) and to reinforce the information in the book.
Like our geography books the drawings are accomplished with easy step-by-step instructions (each new step is in red) on full 8.5" x 11" pages.
The book covers the skin, brain (top and side view), heart, lungs, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, stomach, kidneys, bladder, intestines, eyes and ears.
Our talking organs, animals and cartoon characters will guide your students through the book with information, Latin translations, jokes and puns.
A starter template for each drawing is available for download on ARTK12.COM. Templates are the best way to get your students started so they’ll end up with a drawing they’ll be proud of.
This...is...Biology Disguised as Fun!
Learn anatomy through art! This up-and-coming series from ArtK12 provides a fun and memorable overview of the human body through illustrated drawings, Latin translations, light-hearted puns, cartoons, and more. The approach is incremental, beginning with “the big picture” before adding the finer details, color, and labeling. The course begins with an overview of vital and non-vital organs before diving into the various human organs. Two editions are available: Draw the Human Body: Organs (with Reproductive Organs) and Draw the Human Body: Organs (without Reproductive Organs). The content is identical, except for the inclusion/exclusion of the reproductive organs section. In this section, both male and female reproductive organs are accurately illustrated, with a focus on their anatomical function. Included with your purchase is a PDF download with a starter template for each drawing. These optional templates may be helpful for younger learners, or anyone who needs more support to get started. Students will need unlined paper, pencil, ruler, eraser, pen, and colored pencils or crayons to complete the lessons. This is a well-done overview of the human body. I am excited to see this new series develop!
