Description

What's colorful, chunky, three-dimensional, and challenging? Pattern Play 3D provides all that. The 22 wooden blocks are based on extensions of a 1" cube (i.e. two-cube "rods"; three-cube an-gles, etc.) and feel good in your hands. The wooden storage tray serves as a building tray, provid-ing just enough friction to keep blocks in place as you build/replicate the patterns. 20 double-sided cards provide 40 increasingly difficult designs to replicate. And you build these designs up from the bottom rather than across a flat surface, approximating animals or geometric sculptures. Although the pattern projects are challenging, it's the colors that make them engaging; not your typical primary colors but fuchsia, teal, turquoise, chartreuse, grape, lemon, and tangerine.
