Description

A farmer discovers a stranger on the road and takes him in. Some aspects of him seem a little, well, strange, but he is generally a delight. One day, the stranger becomes upset after noticing that all the trees are changing to fall colors, except for those around the family's home. He decides it's time to leave, but the next morning after his departure, all the colors on the trees have changed and are more vibrant than any others. The ending is left open to interpretation which could create some interesting answers from your little ones. Written and Illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, author of The Polar Express and Jumanji. 28 hardcover pages. Laura
