"Mama's Bank Account" is about a family living in San Francisco who are trying to make ends meet financially Each chapter is a short story about the family Kathryn Forbes does beautifully on her part by telling about her wonderful family Mama has a bank account that keeps the children unafraid of what lies ahead The study mini guide is good for getting deeper into the story In this story I learned the values of family friends mistakes and the beauty of love Mama is a very confident person who teaches her children to growing up unafraid It is a lovely thing to have on your shelf It is worth the value of the price without a doubt

We checked this book out from the library and absolutely loved every bit of it. It's the kind of book that I could pick up and read one chapter and cry and laugh all at the same time. It reminds me a bit of Treasures from Grandmother's Attic in that each chapter can somewhat stand alone as short stories.
