Category Description for Answers Family Devotionals

As a family, study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with the 5-book Answers Family Bible Devotional series. You can start with Book 1 or select a portion of Scripture for your family to focus on. The authors, Mike and Libby Wild, developed this program for their own family while church planting in the Asian Pacific. Their Biblical viewpoint comes from a conservative Evangelical stance and will take a 6-day creationist’s view. Their goal is to help each learner dig into the Bible while developing a biblical perspective and an understanding of God’s purpose for their life. Each text provides 40 devotionals, following a consistent pattern. First, the devotional highlights one Scripture, then directs you to a larger passage to read, followed by the devotional. You’ll use your own Bible for these readings. Often, the devotional will provide commentary on each Scripture passage and then direct you to read the next. When appropriate, tie-ins with other Bible passages are made. Following the devotional are 6-7 questions for group discussion. Brief answers are provided when applicable. Each devotional ends with a page to write your prayers and praises. In some volumes, the questions will also include core questions from either the Westminster or Heidelberg Catechism (the devotionals using these questions are indicated on each book’s copyright page). See individual book descriptions for content details. Scriptures come from the 2001© ESV. ~ Ruth
