Comprehensive Handwriting Practice

Children will get plenty of opportunities to practice their handwriting with these reproducible workbooks. They have a landscape (instead of portrait) orientation, which provides more room for writing. Each book begins by providing individual letter practice in both lower and uppercase. First, the strokes are given for each letter, followed by a blank line to practice. Then they are given practice words beginning with the letter. From there, exercises progress in difficulty, beginning with writing individual letters and words, then transitioning to sentences and short paragraphs. The exercises cover a variety of topics, including days of the week, animals, months, and more. The cursive books contain exercises that involve writing about literary genres, parts of speech, and grammar. Each book contains alphabet tongue twisters pages, and every letter has its own twister. I particularly like "Uri Udall used his unusual unicycle." Kids will want to practice their handwriting with the fun exercises in these books. 128 pgs, pb. Lisa
