Cobble Street Cousins
Lily, Tess, and Rosie are three young cousins who share a large attic bedroom in their Aunt Lucy's house. The girls' parents are dancers, away on tour, and the cousins decided that they'd rather stay with their aunt than go to boarding school or travel with their parents. To some people, living with your aunt and cousins all year might seem boring, but not to these girls. Whether it's starting a cookie company, putting on a vaudeville-type show, making a dollhouse, or planning a summer party, the Cobble Street Cousins are always busy doing something - and they're always having lots of fun doing it. These books are great for beginning readers as first chapter books. The stories are entertaining, and the language though simple, is not boring. A number of black-and-white illustrations are sprinkled throughout. Pb, approximately 50 pgs. -Rachel P.
