Sand Letters
Tactile learners love the feel of sand. Sand, however, tends to get everywhere! Keep it tidy in a wooden box with a separate fitted lid (does not lock). The 8” x 8” unfinished wood has nice 1” high sides to keep the sand contained. A bright blue bottom shows nicely when using the white silica-free sand. Each tray comes with a half-pound of sand, just right for covering the blue surface. This method is particularly useful with young learners and those with special needs, but most young learners enjoy the novelty of writing in sand. ~Sara
