History - Hands On!

This series presents the stories of famous people and events from American history amidst numerous projects and activities. Pages share parts of the interesting story and then break for a craft, song, map activity, experiment, art activity, discussion, writing prompt, or other hands-on exercise relating to that part of the reading. Instead of solely reading about historic events and people, students immerse themselves in that time and actively participate. They will write letters to encourage the Wright brothers in their flying endeavors, eat like a Pilgrim and otherwise get involved as they are thoroughly acquainted with American history. Each guide runs 32 pgs. ~ Steph
