Interactive Notetaking Content-Area Literacy
This book provides exercises to teach students how to make their notebooks into study tools. Instead of copying definitions they never study, students create an interactive resource they will reference time and again. Using a simple spiral notebook or composition book, they will create a lesson input page and lesson output page for a topic. Input pages include graphic organizers, reading notes and folded paper notetaking guides. Output pages include opinions, summaries, and responses to new learning. Several topics are included in this workbook and in the process of making these samples, your student is learning study techniques to last through the school year.
