Math Detective
An excellent series from the makers of Reading Detective! Each activity begins with a short, entertaining reading selection and some type of chart or diagram. Follow-up questions promote critical thinking, and they typically do not require a lot of computation. Answers to questions cannot be found by quickly scanning the reading or diagram for numbers. Each level contains approx. 40 activities organized according to standards-based content areas: numbers and numeration, patterns, operations, geometry and spatial sense, probability, and statistics.
