In 1919, the 19th amendment was ratified which gave women the right to vote in the United States. The women's suffrage movement was a decades-long fight to win this right for women, and it is difficult to believe that it took so much effort and so many years. These playing cards highlight milestone events and the courageous people who made this possible. Each one of these beautiful, quality-made playing cards has a picture of someone who contributed towards enacting the amendment granting women the right to vote. In addition, a companion booklet with a brief biography of each of these people as well as their specific contribution to the cause of women's rights is included.
