Description

This game is off the rails! The goal is simple – be the first player to get three trains from start to finish. Each turn, however, a piece of track (trains and all!) is switched around the board, making for an unpredictable journey. If players end up on the same track, they will inevitably bump into each other. Sometimes, this can help a player move closer to the finish line, but by the same ticket, it can send a player's train careening off the rails or into a dead end, causing a fender-bending setback! Gameplay is easy to learn. Each turn, a player rolls three dice. One is a color die and the other two are number dice. The color die corresponds to which track piece will be switched around the board, and the number rolled tells players how far to move. Each player takes turns switching the track and moving their trains until someone wins. A track that was previously clear can quickly become a dead end, get clogged with another player's trains, or disappear entirely! With plenty of chances for dramatic crashes, this is an exciting play for younger gamers. Game includes a game board, 12 toy trains in 4 colors (sadly, no rolling wheels), three dice, 3 track-switch panels, 12 repair tokens, and instructions for basic and alternate play. For 2-4 players ages five and up. Average game time is 20-30 minutes. ~ Janine
