Description

You, as a fabulous architect, are sharing your wealth of knowledge and management skills with your kingdom to construct a fort. Your goal: become the most sought-after architect by building the best buildings. Unfortunately for you, you only have nine rounds to prove yourself, and you've got competition! Each player in this game starts with a special character who has certain abilities such as gaining extra victory points, enlisting extra laborers, delivery bonuses, and so on. The board is laid out as a series of constructed buildings along a path. Each building grants the user different effects, from gaining extra men to exchanging resources that provide the ability to create certain buildings. Players will have to utilize their limited workers and resources wisely, as every action has a cost. As players build new buildings, the map expands and changes, granting new possibilities for advancement. Each player's basic goal is to attain the most victory points. These can be garnered in two main ways: making resource deliveries or constructing monuments. It's not so easy when supplies are limited and opponents can hinder your progress by turning useful property into their personal residences or blocking the road. What's an architect to do? Whether you triumph or struggle, the player with the most victory points at the end of nine rounds wins the title of MVB (most valuable builder). For 2-5 players. Play time is 60-90 minutes. Game includes board, 90 resource blocks, 34 building tiles, 12 character tiles, 75 workers, 50 houses, 1 provost, 1 round marker token, 1 first player tile, 120 victory point tokens, and instructions for play. ~ Janine
