The Math K5 Teacher's Edition, 4th ed. provides instruction for the use of manipulatives to introduce each new math concept for a hands-on approach to learning. Through practice and interactive questioning by the teacher, the student gradually progresses to an abstract level in which he uses only numbers. Core-math concepts are reviewed periodically for retention and reinforcement. Daily classroom review provides a 5-10 minute practice of a previously learned skill. Chapter reviews along with cumulative reviews and section reviews provide additional opportunities for review. The Teacher's Toolkit CD that comes packaged with the Teacher's Edition includes instructional aids, full-color charts for individual- or small-group practice, 1-2-3 Write pages and Math Board suggestions for the practice and review of concepts, and Extended Activities for stretching the student's application level.

Lessons are teacher-guided and provide math practice and application. Chapters conclude with a chapter review lesson and cumulative review lesson. The Teacher's Edition with CD includes the worktext answer key, instructional aids, full-color charts for individual or small-group practice, 1-2-3 Write pages and Math Board suggestions for the practice and review of concepts, and Extended Activities for enriching application of concepts. The Student Manipulatives packet features full-color, punch-out cardstock manipulatives that accompany the text, including rulers, geometric shapes, number cards, ten frame and ten bars, coins and dollar bills, hundred squares, fractions, number line, and more. The K5 Student Manipulatives are reused in Grade 1 BJU Math 4th Edition. The Math K5 Kit contains the Teacher Edition, Student Worktext, and Student Manipulatives.
