Learning American History Through Literature
Grades 1-8 participate in reading books, doing activities, playing games, researching, and creating timelines which make learning American history fun and memorable. Learning American History Through Literature can be used for: multi-level teaching; a one or two year course of study; and a stand-alone curriculum or as a resource for any other curriculum.
Learning American History Through Literature covers seven periods of American history: Colonial; Revolutionary War; Westward Expansion; Civil War; Industrial Age; World War Years; and Postwar Years. Each unit includes in-depth book lists, discussion questions, hands-on-activities, games, recipes, and more that will help make history come alive for students in K-8th grades.
