Narrative instructional videos begin with an almost 7-minute course introduction to imaginative writing as well as engaging the imagination of an audience. Twenty lessons, each ranging from 29 to 41 minutes, explain to the student the writing concepts for each lesson in the student book. While many writing models come from the Bible, such as Elijah and the Prophets of Baal, The Sower and The Foolish Rich Man, others include The Rose, and Chico and the Crane. Video instructors will explain the writing model themes, draw out concepts modeled in the lessons, discuss vocabulary, ask students rhetorical questions, and more. They will also direct the students to complete tasks which might require stopping the video occasionally to write responses.
