Kit includes forceps, safety goggles (adult size), nitrile gloves, 10 ml. graduated cylinder, pipet, filter paper, two rulers, clear plastic cups, glass jar, Lugol’s Iodine, laundry starch, blotter paper, tea-light candle, inoculating needle with looped end, nutrient agar, petri dishes, basic microscope slide set, Eosin Y, methyl cellulose, protozoa culture kit, yeast, Ziplock bags, Borax, Snap Circuits Jr. 100 Kit, steel balls, marbles, platform scale, magnetic compass, heavy cord, matches, and 6” protractor. You will need to provide isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), ammonium hydroxide (household ammonia), red cabbage indicator (easy to make at home!), measuring cups and spoons, black permanent marker, acetic acid (vinegar), Escherichia Coli bacteria (freeze dried or live culture –available through Home Science Tools), Microscope (1000x is recommended), microscope immersion oil (if using 1000x Microscope), thumbtacks, colored pencils, and LED flashlight. Optional items to enhance your studies include additional elementary slides, digital stopwatch (or watch with second hand or timer), modeling clay, reflector telescope, star and planet locator and Stellarscope Star Locator.
