Introducing children to the God of creation, children explore the world around them using their five senses, and age-appropriate, basic science tools. Through the year, children are introduced to hygiene and nutrition, living and non-living things, plants, birds, fish, reptiles, habitats, the weather, seasons, rocks and minerals, fossils, dinosaurs and more. Children are gently guided into learning about science and God's amazing creation as they follow the adventures of Gideon and his teddy bear, Mr. Snuggly. Each of the interactive lessons are designed to take 20 minutes, 2 days per week. Lessons conclude with some sort of hands-on activity which may be a coloring page, simple hands-on activity like identifying smells, planting seeds, etc. Required supplies are predominantly household items. Additionally, easily sourced items include: a mirror, blindfold, fine glitter, magnifying glass, ruler, washable paints, seed packet, potting soil, small pot, various craft supplies, clothespin, cotton balls, globe or ball, flashlight, pumice stone, and Play-Doh®. Colorfully illustrated, the student pages are reproducible for your family. Uses NIrV and NIV Bible versions.

Children are never too young to be captivated by science! Each one-year course engages children through creation-based textual information, hands-on investigations, biblically inspired stories, opportunities to engage your child in meaningful discussions, Bible memory work, and even an easy-to-do Science Notebook. User-friendly, the Course Books provide everything necessary for teaching, including reproducible (for your family) student pages: appealing textual information, stories, materials list, daily/weekly lessons, notebook pages, memory verse sheets, and helpful tips. Hands-on activities use household or easy to find items (see individual level for more information). Both a master materials list for the entire year and weekly lists are provided. Not just colorful, but beautifully, subtly colorful; perforated student pages include textual information, stories, coloring/drawing sheets, occasional mazes, and dot-to-dots as well as handwriting practice in the lower levels. Introductory information includes course objectives and an overview, along with helpful tips and a weekly schedule. Lessons will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, increasing to 30 minutes in Level 3. Level K is two days per week; with three days per week planned for Levels 1 and 2, and five days per week schedule for Level 3 and 4. Designed with homeschool families in mind, each level encompasses two age ranges or grade levels, so children close in age can learn together. Level K through Level 2 are interactive for families to learn together. Level 3 and Level 4 provide conversational lessons, supporting students in the transition toward independent learning.
