Description
This is an interesting set. I like some things and am not a fan of others. There is no instruction provided, so they are assuming you have some experience with acrylic paints. I like the canvas boards. They are printed with a simple design you can fill in – one is a harbor with boats, and one is a still life of fruits and vegies – plus 1 blank one. These are 9.75" x 7.95" and of decent quality. There is a palette that I do not like. It is unfinished wood, not the best option for a water-based medium you will have to mix with water. I recommend a nice plastic one or even a coated paper plate instead. The brushes seem fine, and include 2 round and 1 flat one. The canvases are small, so they should be ok, but you could use your own brushes too. The paints are in small tubes and these should be fine for a beginner. The colors include alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, lemon yellow, burnt umber, black, white, Hooker's green (a bright grass green) and cerulean blue. ~Sara
