does this include the access for videos they have for supplement?
A shopper on Jul 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The supplemental lesson videos are available at www.friendlybiology.com for an additional fee.
Does this book have answers in the back of it?
A shopper on Jul 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, it is all textbook. The answers to the lesson activities in the "Student Workbook" are in another separate softcover book titled "Lesson Tests and Answer Keys." So, there are optimally 3 components to the course. The activity and answer key books are much less expensive than the text, however, and the activities are both interesting and helpful to the student.
Is this worth a full high school credit?
A shopper on May 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: According to the friendly biology website, yes. The text contains 28 chapters + there are two worksheets for each chapter in the student workbook + the labs (some are in the book but we supplement with others). Generally, all this takes us longer than one week for each chapter. My 9th grader is a good student but not very interested in biology.

Great choice
So far my daughter is on Chapter 3 and it has been great. Clear, concise, and understandable. I like the look of all the labs too - well thought out and creative. Very happy with this.

Student & Parent Friendly
Great high school-level textbook presentation--concepts and important terminology are well-explained (with good examples). Illustration and photography are nice. We use the "Friendly Biology" textbook to solidly discuss these concepts without the excessive detail and lengthy explanation sometimes found in other textbooks.

However, we do use labs from several different resources (other biology texts, online and virtual labs) to complement this resource.
