Description
Publisher's Description of I Can Learn Multiplication Facts Teacher Edition

The purpose of this program is to help students learn or review their multiplication facts. To progress towards this goal, family support and help is essential. The program's goal is to keep the lessons short and provide plenty of practice worksheets. As a math teacher (since 1991) and a math tutor (since 1999), Mr. Ruutelmann has found that nearly 100% of his students succeed with this type of program.

Mr. Ruutelmann was nominated for the prestigious Golden Apple Award and wants to to help your student learn his/her multiplication facts with his enthusiastic and thoughtful teaching style. Mr. Ruutelmann's program teaches not only what the multiplication facts are, but why they are what they are. This will help students immensely in later math courses, as they are not just memorizing a group of math facts to be forgotten "after the test".

This program used to have the 8 lessons on DVDs for purchase. Now the lessons are free on YouTube (search for "Ruutelmann Math Tutoring Channel").

Category Description for I Can Learn Multiplication Facts

Sometimes a student will struggle with one concept that keeps them from moving forward with your math curriculum. Luckily, there are programs like this one to help you through it and carry on. Multiplication is presented both in book and video form and you are encouraged to use both formats together. The author, Lembit Ruutelmann, is a Golden Apple nominated math teacher. He presents multiplication in a way that is simple and logical. His materials are like this as well. The teacher is used to instruct and demonstrate, then the student practices in the student workbook. At the beginning of the program, the student takes a pre-test. Then they watch the video lesson on YouTube together and the student completes worksheet #1. After correcting this worksheet, you decide to go right to lesson 2 or finish the other worksheets in lesson 1. If your student is struggling with lesson 1, you can watch the video again, if needed, before completing worksheet #2. Each lesson topic should be mastered before moving forward. There are 8 lessons total. Previously available on DVD, the author has moved his video content to YouTube to access for free (just look for the Ruutelmann Math Tutoring channel).~ Sara
