Category Description for 4D Human Anatomy Models/Puzzles:

Are they a puzzle or a model? While we're still not sure which application will provide the most enjoyment, we absolutely love these detailed, reasonably priced anatomy models that you can put together, take apart, and build again! Each model is made up of approximately 30 pieces (although some may already be assembled in the packaging) and each stands about 5" tall. The pieces are all painted realistically, include small display stands, and come with very basic assembly guides. The heart model features four "doors" that swing out and allow you to see the inside chambers of the heart, while the eye model comes complete with all the muscles that hold the eyeball in place and the lacrimal gland too. The head model shows one side of the head with muscle, and one side of the head with bone, while the skull shows how the brain fits inside the skull and the spinal cord as well. The human body (torso) model features removable organs, a segment of the spinal cord and back muscles, removable ribs and a bisected head for a look at several body systems. The ear model depicts the inner, outer and middle ear. - Jess

4D Eyeball: Is the model retina visible looking into the model cornea?
Bruce H on Sep 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Although the box shows a "retina" piece, the actual model and its instructions do not seem to have the same piece. Instead the retina is built into the inner piece of the model. You can look through the "pupil" and see the inside of the spherical piece that includes the pupil.
When you take it apart, can you see the inside of the eye?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Honestly, it’s incredibly difficult to put together. I bought this for a group presentation on the human eye and really was not able to use it as part of the presentation as I was afraid it would explode when my audience passed it around! So, it is not something that is easy to take apart and see the inside though you could identify the different parts when it is in pieces. Hope this helps!.

BEST ANSWER: As a homeschooling mom teaching anatomy, this was a great way for them to get some hands on with learning the eye. It was easy enough to put together for my children, yet very detailed replica of the eye. Plus it sits up quite well, we still refer to it. I would recommend it.

It's a cool model, just handle it with care after you build it because some parts might come off easily.

cute but not functional
It's beautiful and accurate. but INCREDIBLY difficult to assemble and if you sneeze it all falls apart.
