Mankind Marvelously Made is written on a relatively easy seventh and eighth level in both text and content. It is divided into four units, as follows: The Human Body (our physical make-up), Food Study (nutrition, preparation, and preservation of food), Safety and First Aid, and Mental Health (psychology). Each unit is self-contained, not depending on any of the other units for foundation knowledge. This means you can study the units in any rotationit doesn't matter which is first or last.
The exercises and study guide questions are designed to guide the study of the text and help the students retain what they have read. All exercises and questions are to be done on paper or a separate notebook. Copywork is beneficial in several ways: Writing out answers makes a deeper impression on the mind. If strictly enforced, it also teaches careful and accurate work. Along with that, it gives practice in following instructions and finding information which is an important skill that helps a person in every station of life.
Mankind Marvelously Made is intended for 7th and 8th grades. The book is divided into four units: human body, food study, safety and first aid, and mental health. The units can be done in any order. This level has a student text, teacher edition, test booklet and recently added student worksheets and worksheets answer keys. The text is hardcover, and students complete their work in a separate notebook. This level could be spread out over two years, doing a portion of the units each year or completed in one academic year by doing health every day of your school week. The student text is 334 pages and includes textual information, study guide questions at the end of each chapter, and review exercises at the end of each unit. The Teacher Edition includes student pages, answers to textbook questions and tests, notes to help the teacher and notes for first aid practice sessions. The Test Booklet includes a unit one test, food unit test, farm safety test, Chapter 2 test of Unit 3 (Hazards Around the Rural Home), Chapter 3 test of Unit 3 (Weather Related Precautions), Chapter 4 test of Unit 3 (Sports and Recreation), and Basic First Aid Test. Now available are two booklets of Student Worksheets that correspond with the student text and review the material with a variety of exercises. These include fill-in-the-blank, crossword puzzles, matching, etc. The two Worksheet Answer Keys have duplicate pages with red answers filled in.
