I chose this for my 5th/6th grade daughter to get her ready for the Ultimate Weekly Planner for Teens in a few years. I also have the Ultimate Homeschool Planner and my son has the Ultimate Weekly Planner for Teens. So now we can all be on the same planning track.

Used it with my 9th grader last year and it was a perfect fit for us! Enough room to write in all of his assignments and allow him to check them off when done; I also recorded field trips and extra-curricular activities in the space labeled Sat./Sun.

My 4th grader used this for her past school year, and we loved it. The format includes enough space to write assignments, there is are check boxes for both completed and approved, so we were each accountable for the work getting done well. The helps in the planner are great - presidents, multiplication tables, etc. My jr. high daughter liked the helps so much, she asked me to order a copy for her, too.

Are the subjects listed for each day? One reviewer said this was the case, but I don't see that in the sample. Thanks!
A shopper on Jun 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No. There is a good deal of lined space to write each subject and what you plan for it, but nothing is written in, and each day is separate.
I actually prefer the teen planner because it does allow for you to write each subject down the left side weekly in a week on two pages layout.

How big is this planner?
A shopper on Dec 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is 7 inches across, 8.5 inches tall and .5 inch think
How many weeks are included in the planner?
A shopper on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Intrigued by the variety of answers here, I brought in a planner from the warehouse and counted the weeks for myself (and then recounted them) and, interestingly, came up with a new number. I found 48 weeks. Both the daily and monthly calendars are undated. There are additional pages as well: notes, references, activity and reading logs, and a place to record best of/favorites for the year.

Love it, except...
I really like it overall, but the one big disappointment is that there are labeled subjects. The selling point of the Apologia planner for me was that it let’s you label the girds as you want to, so I thought the student planner would be the same, but it’s not. My kids prefer a weekly list to a daily list, so I’d rather label the boxes each week with subject vs. labeled by day as they are. Obviously I can just cross them out. But obviously, I could also just use a notebook. Surely part of the point of using a planner is the neatness aspect.

just what we needed!
We love the helps included (times table, timeline, grammar guide, writing process, scientific method). We love the bright, fun colors, but I especially love the column labelled "approved" for each thing written in their planner. I'm slightly disorganized, I've got one sneaky kid, and one day dreamer. That simple column makes a major difference in our school.
