    Category Description for Easy Grammar Series:

    Mastery of basic grammar facts. Independent student work. Lots of review and practice. That’s what Easy Grammar provides. It’s convenient and takes no teacher prep time. The general idea is to introduce grammar gently to young students (Easy Grammar Daily Guided Teaching, grades 1-2). The middle school years (grades 3-7) focus on systematic instruction and provide lots of practice to master the basics as well as daily review. The secondary years (Easy Grammar Ultimate, grades 8-12) continue daily review, coupled with some advanced instruction. The courses vary in structure at different grade levels. Grades 3-6 are similar in structure but grade-level appropriate. Easy Grammar Plus is a course that can be used either in 7th grade or as a complete grammar review for older students. Daily Grams, available for grades 3-7, supplements and complements the EG series by providing daily review.

    Each grade level Teacher Edition provides bite-size lessons, student practice and assessment pages, and those same pages with answers filled in. Both the practice pages and the tests are reproducible for families. Student Workbooks include lesson and practice pages. Test Books (available for Grades 3 and up) provide pre and post tests as well as sectional tests. Grade level Sets include the Teacher Edition, Student Book and Test Book (if available for that level).

    Does the teacher's edition have all the same material, explanations, instructions as in the student workbook + the answers to the exercises? I mean, If I just buy the Teacher's edition for my child, Will she be able to self-learn and do the exercises on her own if I cover the answer sheets on the left? Or is there additional explanation and instruction in the student workbook compared to the Teacher's edition? Thanks in advance.

    BEST ANSWER: All the instructional material is in the Teacher's Edition. Yes, you can use the Teachers in the manner you described (i.e. covering the left-hand answer sheets). A file folder works well for that purpose. Also, the student pages in the Teacher are reproducible. So, you could copy the pages for your student as well.
    Is there an answer key to the worksheets in the Easy Grammar Grade 6 Teacher's Manual? I see there are answers for the tests, but I want to make sure the worksheet answers are in there too.

    BEST ANSWER: Yes. The answer to the worksheet is on the page beside it. I bought the extra workbook so that there wasn’t temptation to look at the page beside it. Some people put a sheet over it while the kids write in the main book.

    BEST ANSWER: Either edition would do great but I like the Easy Grammar Plus for my 13 yr old son, who has dyslexia. You get the same basic information but with a bit more depth for the older student. It really depends on your students reading comprehension skills and your level of participation, if they struggle to understand written direction or if you can't devote half hour to focus on this with your student, then the Grade 6 is better. Hope this helps.
    Is the answer key for the tests in the Teacher's Guide or in the Test Booklet? Or is it a separate book altogether?

    BEST ANSWER: The test answers are provided as filled-in test pages included in the Teacher's Guide. The Test Booklet is student pages without answers.

    I absolutely love this English curriculum After having homeschooled for 14 years I am wondering why it took so long for me to find this Wanda Phillips makes learning English easy for my student who was struggling in English When I first opened the teacher's edition I was somewhat overwhelmed wondering if I would be able to teach this as there are no daily lesson plans but once I figured out a routine it has not been difficult for me to make out my own plans The main teacher preparation lies in figuring out what and how much to teach The only thing they could add to this would be daily lesson plans If you have a student who excels in English they might not need every page as there are a lot of repetition of pages This book is geared specifically for one grade at a time and is definitely for kids who do well with workbooks although the pages are generally short After 4 years of college I feel as if I am finally truly understanding grammar for the first time in my life It was definitely worth the money!

    Our first experience with Easy Grammar was when we used it in our first year of a home school co-op My daughter was in 6th grade and had decided that she hated grammar We had several years of tears and frustration with another grammar and had finally taken a year off completely from the subject Easy Grammar made the subject more manageable It is very systematic which helped her understand sentence parts and structure My son started Easy Grammar in 3rd grade and has loved it ever since My daughter now entering 10th grade commented that grammar would have been easier for her if she had done Easy Grammar from the beginning! I am sold on Easy Grammar

    We LOVE Easy Grammar! Our friend a private school teacher told us about EG when I was discussing my daughter's 'meltdown' that ocurred when using Abeka We truly hit a wall She LOVES Easy Grammar I even understand grammar now! We originally only purchased the TE but ended up purchasing the student text so we could copy the TE page if needed for extra review We love Easy Grammarand now feel like we can tackle Abeka again (in conjunction with EG) because we have rebuilt her confidence level tremendously!Thank you EG!
