Category Description for Daily Lesson Plans for Apologia Science:

If you're looking to shave some time off of your lesson planning, consider these ready-made lessons plans. Written by Lynn Ericson, a homeschooling mother, they were intended to aid her own children in using the courses after numerous days of not having necessary supplies, being unavailable to direct reading at the needed moment, etc. She breaks down the modules of the Apologia courses and provides instructions on what to do each day to finish the modules in an educational and time-efficient manner. Takes the guesswork out of scheduling! ~ Rachel S.

Category Description for Apologia Science:

Apologia Science courses are written from a Biblical worldview with the homeschool in mind. At the elementary level, courses follow a Charlotte Mason-inspired methodology, with lessons organized around narration, notebooking exercises and hands-on activities or projects. Children at different ages can use these together, learning at their own level. Each course is designed to be teacher-student interactive, so teacher involvement is fairly high at this level. At the junior high and high school levels, science courses are more traditional in nature, with the textbook written to the student. Teacher involvement time at this level is much less than at the elementary level. Textbooks contain student reading, lab instructions, "On Your Own" questions and Study Guide questions. A Solutions Manual provides the answers to these and the test questions. Lab kits are available separately for both the elementary and upper-level science courses which include most of the harder to find items you will need.

Category Description for COMPREHENSIVE SCIENCE PROGRAMS:

Items listed in this section tend to be complete science programs with a teacher and student component, requiring few supplements besides science supplies.

I need help in making sure I get through the curriculum in a timely fashion without putting too much information on my child. I have found these a helpful guide in the past with Astronomy and Botany.

I have used these lesson plans before and it truly saves time and sanity when trying to prepare for the week/month/year of science. If I can open up a pamphlet and have the lessons broken down for me in manageable bits for a really decent price than I will always push the checkout button. :)

This planner is an invaluable tool. IT assigns the amount of work, so the student cannot argue the matter! To have all this planning at our fingertips is a huge time saver, and the students can use it all by themselves.

Are the plans to complete the course in a year or a semester?
Leslie Ann on Aug 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is scheduled for 180 days, so a year. You could always double up the days if you wanted to finish sooner! ??

Not a lesson plan
I bought one of these thinking it had lesson plans to engage the children. It just breaks down the reading and experiments in the book throughout the year. The author already does this in the book. To me, a lesson plan is how to engage the children to teach them what they just read. I want game, craft, devotion, and other extra ideas.

I love these lesson plans They give me a guideline to go by making it much easier to plan my year My rule of thumb is to be 1/2 way through my school books by Christmas With these lesson plans I know exactly where 1/2 through is and can plan my schedule accordingly I think I would have been lost knowing how much to cover on any given day without them Definitely worth the money to keep me organized!

I have found these lesson plans extremely helpful in my home school It breaks the lessons into bite size pieces that can easily be digested for each day Without these I would be like a fish on ice with no direction I work best with a schedule and checklist and this has fulfilled it
