100 Task Cards: Text Evidence
Fine-tune your students' abilities to cite text evidence with these easy and entertaining task cards! Each reproducible card contains a high-interest mini-passage and five key questions to hone this must-know skill -- in just ten minutes a day. Cards provide guided support to help students identify and effectively cite text evidence across a variety of genres. Content is super-engaging to motivate even your most reluctant readers.
These handy little nuggets have multiple uses for your lessons! Firstly, they are reproducible. Second, they are interesting!!! Your students will think its fun to do reading comprehension. Third, they are focused in a way that helps you help your students as needed. Each card is a half-page (8"x 5.5") and numbered in the corner (great for planning purposes). Youll find a paragraph on the left half and 5 key questions on the right half of each card. Use one as a daily warm-up, a morning basket activity, discuss over breakfast, use in pairs or small groups about 10 minutes each. Topics are funny and engaging: a bossy cousin Stella, exaggerated fishing stories, blubbery sealions, haggis, dogs burying their bones, Jackie Robinson, your body when you sleep, and loads more! If youre between 9 and 11 years old, these are hot topics.
