This bright red primary journal by Pacon, with an exquisite tiger on the front cover, includes a place at the top for the student to write their name. There is a letter guide handwriting template of both print and cursive inside the sturdy cover. The notebook is spiral bound, and unlike the picture story ruled composition book has complete top to bottom 5/8” completely ruled pages. Ruling conforms to D’Nealian Gr. What do you do with a left handed and the large spiral wire in her way?

BEST ANSWER: Fortunately, my kids are all right handed, but my husband is left-handed. He hates the spiral bound notebooks and says "they are horrible". He suggests to get the top bound notebooks instead. Once she gets older and needs to use regular paper, I suggest loose leaf paper or paper in a 3 ring binder. If she is just learning you may have her put the spiral to the right and have her use the back side of the page. (I would probably just unthread the spiral and loose leaf the pages or respiral them with the ring to the left. )

Just right for kindergarten and first grade children
This is the perfect composition book for our kindergarten and first grade children. The lines are nicely spaced and marked, particularly the red base line. The wire binding makes it especially easy for the children to always have a completely flat writing surface. And the price through this site was much better than other sites!
