Financial Literacy Lessons and Activities, Grade 5
The ten units teach buying and selling at the store, making and following a budget, using banks and credit cards, earning money at a job, and paying in a variety of real-life situations (restaurant, transportation and entertainment, bills, health services and taxes). Math skills covered include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, rounding, currency, graphs, rates, and data tables.
