Financial Literacy Lessons and Activities, Grade 3
The ten units cover buying at store (cost vs. benefit; prioritizing wants; opportunity costs) earning money at a job, making and following a budget, using banks (savings and checking accounts; loans), using money in different countries, paying to go places (hidden and visible costs of entertainment), starting a business, making and taking out loans, using credit cards, and paying taxes. Math skills covered include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, currency, skip counting, and one-to-one correspondence.
