Description

Have some mechanical engineering fun putting this wind-creeping critter together! No glue, tools (except a small wire cutter for getting tough plastic pieces out of molds), or batteries are necessary to put this kit together or get it moving - it's all ingenuity and design! Just snap the pieces together, find or create a wind source, and watch an engineering marvel in action. The build is fairly complex, but step-by-step instructions with words and pictures guide you along. If that's not enough, there are kit-building videos on the Heebie Jeebie Youtube channel you can follow along with. When you finish, you'll have the satisfaction of seeing this contraption crab-walk across the table! An excellent rainy-day activity or afternoon project for children who like to build machines. Those young people who are comfortable with constructing elaborate creations with building blocks should be able to do this themselves, but those a little less inclined that way may need a bit of help from an older sibling or adult. Assembled creation is about 8" long. Kit includes 129 plastic assembly pieces, 1 rubber band, and instructions. ~Janine
