Product Description:

This book will help you to develop Christian character in your children. 13 units focus on honoring God, respecting others, telling the truth, self-control, kindness, obeying rules, forgiveness, responsibility, patience, loving everyone, apologizing, thankfulness, and sharing. Every unit holds 10-11 pages of stories and activities for that value. A poster for that trait starts each chapter, along with games, songs and a craft. Then there is a Bible lesson , such as the story of Jonah for "saying I'm sorry," and an application lesson - a real life situation story in which fictional children learn the lesson. A few activities are included for each lesson, such as following directions, puzzles, crosswords, and other practical, original exercises. Every unit ends with a "My Contract" page, where kids can decide to sign a contract to try and do better in that area. Although you can use this with just one child, I think it would also work well for a Sunday school class or group of children, as it is reproducible and several of the activities and games utilize "teamwork." ~ Stephanie

I will be using it as a summer unit study to focus on building a godly character in my child. I am educating for eternity, so it make sense to focus on character building ina fun way as a foundation.

With the things that are happening in today's society I'm constantly asked questions about why and I want to instill in my youth that people with good Christian character wouldn't do the things that they see happening in the news.

Are the activities heavy on coloring?
A shopper on Apr 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There is a coloring page introducing every unit. Every unit also has a bible story with discussion points and a contract for the child to write how they will live the certain principle at the end of the unit. The rest of the book is a mix of activities: codes, puzzles involving scripture, games, word searches, etc. Many of the other activities involve coloring, but most of the book isn't just coloring for the sake of coloring.
Is there copywork like copying scripture? If so, what bible version?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, not that I have seen so far. There are activities though relating to the chapter content.

Better than I thought!
I was looking for a Christian based Character Curriculum for my youngest 2 boys ages 5 and 10. This has worked great so far! The songs are a lot of fun for the youngest and he loves participating in the hands on activities. The worksheets are a bit over his head but he is enjoying coloring them and participating with my help. My 10 year old loves the worksheet activities as well as all of the activities. I love challenging them both to memorize the scriptures used throughout the lessons. We will probably get through this well before our home school year is up as it only takes a week to get through a unit so I really wish their was a sequel to this book!
