Description

Targeting the 3rd grade learner, Level 3 of Let's Talk Science transitions to student led learning with lessons written directly to the student. At this level, students should expect to study science 20-30 minutes per day, 5 days per week. Adventures on Planet Earth explores the elements of ecology, including biomes, climates, food chains and more. Each lesson immerses learners in God's marvelous creation and wisdom, and along the way students learn spiritual applications and stewardship of His world. Story based, conversational lessons are shared through siblings, Hannah and Ben. As they share science facts and Biblical truth, children learn to apply the information through worksheets or hands-on activities, create a personal science notebook, build model biomes, learn Bible verses, and can dig deeper through optional activities or readings. A Master Material list is included in the front of the book and each lesson provides a material list, which helps significantly with lesson prep! Required basic supplies used often throughout the course include an artistic sketchbook (36 pgs. min.), colored pencils, markers, acrylic paint set, crayons, silver or white glitter glue, glue stick, scissors, construction paper, and shoe boxes or craft boxes with lids. Additionally, common household items or easily sourced items are necessary. Recommended digging deeper resources include the frequently referenced God's Big Book of Animals (052886) and Marvels of Creation: Magnificent Mammals (037743¬) and Breathing Taking Birds (018370). Colorfully illustrated, the student pages are reproducible for your family. Uses NIV and NIrV Bible versions.
