Are the illustrations just at the start of each chapter, or are there lots of pictures for each chapter of each book? We have the Magician's Nephew and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe as the full color edition with lots of illustrations, but I cannot find the other books in the set that have all the illustrations. I am hoping this is what I am looking for...
BEST ANSWER: These books have the same illustrations as the full color editions! We have several sets and these include everything the others have.

Is this set hardback or softcover?
BEST ANSWER: This is soft cover, but the pages are an impressive quality. Really a nice set of books.

Do all the books really have the classic cover illustrations?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they do. Inside illustrations are in color and also from same illustrator, Pauline Baynes, with an illustration copyright of 1963. The set has a 2000 copyright.

What is the quality of the illustrated pictures in this Narnia box set books?
BEST ANSWER: The illustrations are lovely. They have a "vintage" feel about them, but all illustrations are colored. The entire book is also printed on heavy/smooth/glossy paper. These are not trade paperbacks!

Can’t beat the quality or price!
Great price, wonderful quality. There is a nice heaviness to the pages, and the illustrations are vibrant on the glossy pages. We read together with our family almost every night.
