These plastic 5" x 5" miniature Judy® Clocks bring the complexity of geared movement down to a hand-held size.

The classroom clocks are made of bright yellow plastic with knobbed hands to help make practicing time skills easy for little fingers. The hour and minute hands move independently and a clear, plastic window reveals working bright red and green gears!

Great for teaching math skills recommended by the NCTM such as:

Category Description for Saxon K-3 Program:

The Teacher's Manual contains the actual lesson plans and information vital to the effective presentation of math concepts. The consumable Meeting Books are used during the teacher-student "meeting" in which concepts are introduced, demonstrated and practiced. If teaching more than one student at the same level, you will only need one meeting book. Consumable Student Workbooks are used in grades 1-3 only and contain student materials, flash cards and practice pages. The Math K Home Study Kit contains teacher edition and meeting book. Math 1, 2, and 3 kits contain teacher edition, meeting book, and a set of 2 workbooks. Manipulatives are a vital, integral part of the program; these are not included in the Home Study Kits, but are available through us also.

We used The Good and The Beautiful as new homeschoolers, which came with a clock manipulative built into the math box. My daughter struggles still now that the year is over, and I think a geared clock will help her see the rhythm of a clock much better!

Love the fact that the hands are geared. Many other clocks have the hour and minute hands move independent of each other. That's not very helpful in demonstrating the concept of 60 continuous minutes in each hour.

You need this tool in your homeschool!
The gears work wonderfully, and the kids can play with it without messing up the gears. This clock is the perfect size for little ones to practice telling time.

Stands the test of time!
I bought a Judy clock when my children were young and every one of my children learned to tell time by it. Forward 20 years. I had a young couple visiting my home and their children found my Judy clock in my game cabinet. That’s all they wanted to play with. I ended up buying them their own Judy clock for Christmas. I will get one for my grandchildren as well when they are older.

Great teaching tool
This is a great clock to help teach time. I love that it has gears. It really helps my daughter see how the hour hand moves when the minute hand is moved. It is a great size too.

The relationship between the hour and minute hands are more-or-less accurate (needs a tiny bit of adjustment from time to time) The hands *can* be moved independently At first I was worried our almost-three-year-old had broken the clock by forcing the hands to move separately but soon discovered they can be re-adjusted We've only had the clock for a full day so not sure if this mechanism will eventually break down if the hands are forced to move independently often enoughOur preschooler loves this clock and so do I I like the tiny minute indicators on the clock making it easier for kids to tell the time
